REM Columns and POINT2 Real Estate BLOG

In my "semi-retirement", a somewhat misleading euphemism for living past the official "retirement" age, but still forced to turn one's cash flow in the other direction, I thought I would be "slowing down", but instead I've removed 40 pounds and my life appears to be moving faster than I anticipated.

The fact that my cancer was removed from my bladder has definitely dispersed that dark cloud of 2011 and I can once again look outward. So, I'm pleased to be invited to write for two rather large mass-media organizations within the real estate industry, REM - Real Estate Magazine, our industry's best news forum and POINT2 Agent, our industry's most successful website server and independent industry educator.

From 1977 until 1990, 13 years, I enjoyed an interesting career inside the Jewellery Industry around the world. In Canada, I actually obtained a somewhat significant recognition of my enthusiasm for growing the industry, especially the independent jewellery retailers and jewellery manufacturers and diamond dealers. It was a privilege then for me to write monthly advertorials in Canadian Jeweller magazine.

Now that I've stepped out of the confining DOME of the ORGANIZED REAL ESTATE industry of the THIRD ESTATE and moved into the FOURTH ESTATE, I am free to consult to this industry in a similar manner to the Jewellery Industry.

Perhaps at the core of my beliefs is that people will appreciate the perspectives I bring with me following such a fertile 50 years of learning through business, academic and social experiences in twenty industries and dozens of organizations.
